Age Spots...Also called liver spots and solar lentigines — are flat, gray, brown or black spots. They vary in size and usually appear on the face, hands, shoulders and arms — areas most exposed to the sun. Though age spots are very common in adults older than age 40, they can affect younger people as well.  Laser treatment is generally very effective at removing age, liver, sun or brown spots on the skin. It is the treatment of choice for these spots, in fact. The treatment may require two or more sessions to completely remove the spots depending on how many there are and on which area of the body.  Will It Last?  In general we find that laser removal of age spots is permanent, however people do sometimes see new spots appear as they go back out into the sun. These are new spots forming as a result of sun exposure, not a recurrence of the old, removed spots. Good sun-avoidance is key if you wish to see your skin free of sun spots.

Broken Capillaries  IPL treats multiple skin conditions because our IPL contains works at multiple frequencies. That means that while the IPL is treating age spots it will also reach those broken capillaries we see on our nose, cheeks and other areas. IPL does not treat or remove the deeper feeder vessels, instead the IPL will reach the red blood cells in the broken capillaries we see in small groupings.  Will It Last?  The capillaries can and will most likely sprout up again after the treatments have been performed though probably not as prominent as before your treatment. In order to keep the desired results we may recommend a maintenance program every several months so that your benefits will be more permanent.

Wrinkles...Wrinkles are a natural part of aging. As you grow older, your skin gets thinner, drier and less elastic. And it becomes less able to protect itself from damage. As a result, wrinkles, lines and creases form in your skin. Although genetics are the most important determiner of skin texture, a major contributor to wrinkles is spending too much time in the sun. Smoking also can cause premature aging of your skin. Our laser has a wavelength that will reach Fibroblasts, the part of the body responsible for making new Collagen in our skin. Over a period of 3 to 5 sessions new Collagen will emerge, creating a more even, youthful looking skin.  Will It Last?  Because lasers is helping to create new Collagen, once results have been achieved you can expect them to last upward of 5 years! We will recommend an SPF of 30 or higher to keep results as long as possible.

Enlarged Pores...Large pores or enlarged pores on the face are a very frustrating problem for many people. Oily skin around the nose area are prone to forming blackheads and acne. Large pores also often stand out and are more noticeable when makeup is applied. Lasers along with proper exfoliation will dramatically reduce the appearance and actual size of your enlarged pores.  Lasers repairs the skin by shooting little bursts of light to target the problem area. Lasers stimulates the skin to produce more collagen by going underneath the surface of skin. Coupled with proper home care you will see real results within 2 weeks.  Will It Last?  Enlarged or large pores will be an ongoing issue for some patients, with our help even those patients prone to large pores will see lasting results.

Uneven Pigmentation...Studies have shown that IPL Photo facial improves vascular complexion problems such as vascular redness (telangiectasias) and rosacea by up to 80 to 90%. IPL Photo facial is also used as a preventative measure against common signs of aging and a wide range of skin types can be treated.  Will It Last?  Rosacea will often return so we will recommend a maintenance program to keep the results you initially see. Hyperpigmentation results will be more permanent if patients follow our recommendation of daily application of SPF 30 or above.

Unwanted Hair...Lasers are quickly becoming the preferred method of hair removal. We are able to treat all parts of the body in a very short amount of time. Although light skin and dark hair are ideal candidates we are able to treat most patients.  The Laser travels through the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the bulb (root) of the hair. The bulb is usually where the highest concentration of melanin is located, as opposed to the rest of the hair shaft. As the light is converted to heat energy, the bulb and most of the hair shaft are instantly vaporized. The intense heat radiated by the hair also destroys the hair-producing papilla or the entire hair follicle.  Will It Last?  Patients can expect a 75 to 80% decrease in overall hair in areas treated. For best results patients will need to come in every 3 to 6 weeks. This is due to natural hair growth. Hair growth happens in cycles and treatment needs to occur in the beginning stage of hair growth called the Ana gen stageType your paragraph here.
